GTA 6 Map – Vice City vs. the 2002 Original. How Has It Changed?

Vice City from 2002 was groundbreaking – the tropical climate, pastel colors, and 80s atmosphere created an unforgettable world. But how does it compare to the new Vice City in GTA 6?

The original map consisted of two islands connected by bridges. The eastern island was mainly the business and hotel district, while the western one housed port and industrial areas. The total area covered about 5 km² of in-game space.

The new Vice City is expected to be over a dozen times larger. Based on trailers, we've identified counterparts to Ocean Beach, Washington Beach, Starfish Island, and Little Haiti. Entirely new districts have also appeared – suburban neighborhoods, shopping centers, and agricultural areas.

The biggest change is the addition of vast rural areas – swamps, small towns, and islands that create a complete picture of the fictional state of Leonida. This is a step that takes the GTA series to an entirely new level of open world.
